• me: i've been doing maths for hours. i'll take a 10 minute break and come back to it.
  • me: gonna start again after i finish chewing this candy
  • me: i should go get some chocolate for motivation
  • me: i didn't pet my dog today yet. i must go pet her right now.
  • me: she was so soft. i'll go back to pet her some more.
  • me: okay i'm gonna start now. where's my pen? i can't do it without a pen. i must charge up energy to look for the pen by taking another break.
  • me: oh wait it's right next to my hand. it's too late now i already declared a break. what a shame.
  • me: past me, why did you think that was an okay thing to do.

i was tagged by the infamous kawaiiryuzaki and no i haven’t done this yet because i have no friends

Don’t take too long to think about it. Ten anime you’ve seen that will always stick with you, be it sentimental value or how great it was. List the first ten you can recall in no more than 10 minutes.

In a random order cuz I can’t rank things:

1. Gintama

2. Sailor Moon

3. Bleach

4. FMA:B

5. Fairy Tail

6. Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo or whatever idk how to spell it

7. Death Note

8. Hunter x Hunter (2011)

9. SKET Dance

10. Code Geass

Okay so I’m gonna tag some people but if you don’t wanna then don’t do it okay i send a hug your way okay here: allthepretenders, spookyradmikasa, lenkija, dildoteeth, abunaihime, tetsuya-a, spoopymilk

one of them is desperate to protect what Shouyo left behind and the other is eager to destroy it and they both have sadness in their eyes… but there was a third one whose sadness&grief are as valid. He wants to protect just as much as he wants to destroy - he wants to change. He claims to be the traditionalist of the country while being the most non-conformist of them all and, how it often happens, the most unrecognized. He’s the bridge and has always been - between the two who were abandoned by Shouyo; between the conflicting extremes of sorts; the bridge who chose to not be abandoned, frankly.

I often feel that Zura’s grief is overlooked - not by the fandom, but by the author, and it pains me. Of course he is implied, but it feels as though Sorachi either doesn’t care for it or considers it too boring to represent it anyhow. From the Joui3 Zura strikes me as the most cool-headed and reasonable; the grief didn’t break him for one bit, nor did it make him take his eyes away from Shouyo’s head when he had to face it. Zura was the only one to go to war for an idea and kept clinging to it even after the war was lost. He, unlike Gin-chan, who was pretty always surrounded by friends, has done all his growing on his own; he has gotten over his bitterness alone, he has sought his ideals alone, he has come to lead a military unit - alone. He is the only one who hasn’t quit the war per se, but actually he’s the only one who seeks peace the most - of course, internal piece. Of course, piece between his comrades and friends.

The fact that besides being completely ignored he’s basically forced into the role of the third party; watching role, no impact at all, basically invalidation, is saddening alone. He doesn’t, for some bizarre reason, fit in this drama that otherwise was perfectly suited for him and is forced to watch(figuratively because he isn’t even there) how the world is falling apart. I’m not talking about the current arc actually(who knows, maybe he will actually show up), but overall. Zura’s role, his grief, his personality, his character, his situation are all so overlooked. Scenarios aren’t always meant to be for two and actually in most cases they aren’t. But none of these things matter in the end because you know, Zura ja nai, Katsura da.

In the time it took for you to abandon a hundred…
I’ve bonded with a thousand.
In the time it took for you to destroy a thousand…
I’ve been saved by ten thousand.
I….haven’t lost a goddamn thing.
It's just now...I have one less back to protect.
